Not featured in the guide but definitely my favourite store in Tokyo was the chic, french-themed 100 yen store, Seria. While the store features the normal 100 yen store items like umbrellas, kitchen bits and gardening tools, it also has a huge range of funky and fabulous diy bits and bobs. There are a few around, but Tokyo TimeOut has the address of their Shibuya store here.
And on the non-shopping front, hands down Harajuku won the award for best people watching. From the Elvis / Rockabilly wannbees rocking it out to the street dancers battling it out under the bridge, Yoyogi Park was full of Japanese at play. Once you're done in the park, head back to the area around the station to be surrounded by Japan's uber cool fashionistas. The streets are bursting with people in outfits you just don't know how to describe. Not going to Japan anytime soon? Oh don't worry, you can check out Japanese Streets for daily fashion pics!
